AQA has taken a unilateral decision to scrap the A-level in Polish from 2018. Are you going to lobby the AQA to reverse their decision? If yes, are there any other actions which you would undertake in order to preserve the Polish A-level?!

I understand that one of main reasons why AQA has chosen not to continue to offer Polish A-Levels is a combination of low numbers of students taking it up and there being a shortage of examiners. If these issues can be addressed, then I would be happy to lobby for it’s reintroduction.

Poland was the most loyal ally of Britain in the Second World War. Would you support a ban on British media falsely labelling the German concentration and death camps as being “Polish” e.g. Polish ghetto, death camps of Poland, or, Poland’s Auschwitz?

You are absolutely right to emphasise that the horrors of the concentration and death camps were the cause and desire of the Nazis, and were not the product or wish of the citizens of occupied Poland. Although I do not support a ban, I believe the British media should not in any way imply that the camps were anything to do with the people of Poland.

Do you support promoting information about the positive contribution of Polish immigrants to the economy of the UK?

Simply put: Yes!
My view on immigration is clear: we should welcome anyone who wants to come to the UK, work hard, pay their taxes, contribute to our culture, and integrate with British society.

In the event of Brexit, would you support granting an unconditional Indefinite Leave To Remain to the EU citizens who have lived and worked in Britain under the freedom of movement rules?

In the event that Britain leaves the EU, then of course anyone who has moved to the UK from EU member countries should have the opportunity to stay. I believe this can either be in the form of indefinite leave to remain, or the opportunity to become British citizens.

If you were to be elected to the Parliament, would you join and support the activities of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Poland?

If I am elected, there is much that needs to be done to tackle the big issues facing Colchester. We desperately need to to get Colchester moving, with investment for the big infrastructure we lack. We need to get Colchester General Hospital out of special measures, and do more to tackle knife crime which so many residents are concerned about.
With all this to do, I am not currently looking at any APPGs immediately if I am elected.
