AQA has taken a unilateral decision to scrap the A-level in Polish from 2018. Are you going to lobby the AQA to reverse their decision? If yes, are there any other actions which you would undertake in order to preserve the Polish A-level?

I have helped to persuade the Government to secure the future of Polish GCSEs and A levels. A consultation is now up and running and the Minister recently made clear to me that the only question for the exam bodies is how the new exams in 2018 will operate and not whether there will be exams.

Do you support promoting information about the positive contribution of Polish immigrants to the economy of the UK?

I am fully aware of the enormous sacrifices made by the Polish army during the Second World War, and the vital contribution the Polish make to the British economy. Please be assured that I will always make the argument that Britain should value those who come to this country to work hard and to contribute.

In the event of Brexit, would you support granting an unconditional Indefinite Leave To Remain to the EU citizens who have lived and worked in Britain under the freedom of movement rules?

I do not wish to pre-empt the Prime Minister’s negotiations with EU member states, or second-guess the verdict of the British people at the forthcoming referendum but I will, in the event of the UK voting to leave the EU, always argue in favour of policies which are practical and compassionate to all.

Would you consider joining the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Poland and finding out about its activities and initiatives?

I would be very interested in learning more about the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Poland and should you wish to send me further information it would be very gratefully received.

Questions were sent out after the elections.
